The European Commission found an antidote to unemployment among young people. According to a new European Commission´s proposal, enterprises will simply have to employ them. All these young people, who will not be able to find an employment four months after their graduation, shall have a legitimate claim for an employment, training or an internship.

A spokesman for ODS Members of the European Parliament for the Employment and Social Affairs committee Milan Cabrnoch understands this burdensome situation that young people are currently in. The unemployment rate reaches alarming numbers, especially in the countries of the southern Europe. But Milan Cabrnoch does not consider the Commission’s proposal as an appropriate systematic solution to the problem. “This proposal is a typical European Union’s response. The idea that young people should have a work is correct, of course, but the proposed solution is very utopian. The European Union has to face serious problems with unemployment, however the EU cannot employ this people by itself or furthermore order to someone to do so” pointed out Milan Cabrnoch.
The European Union needs to adjust such conditions which will not tie small and medium sized enterprises down. Right these enterprises are the ones which create almost 70% of the job opportunities on the European Job Market. “Unfortunately an increasing amount of regulations and further issuance of directives make the situation for entrepreneurs in creating new job opporunities even more complicated” said Cabrnoch.
“The European Union should stop to be unrealistic, forget similar pleasing measures and find a solution in the place where the problems actually originate. It is necessary to increase flexibility on job market and not interfere it with further regulative measures” indicated Milan Cabrnoch.
